Crop-to-fill trims your photo to fill the frame exactly. Blur pad keeps the whole photo visible and fills the empty space with a blurred version of itself — the classic look for landscape photos in portrait frames.

Never — the resize happens entirely in your browser with the canvas API. The photo doesn't leave your device.

Instagram re-compresses aggressively when your upload isn't at its native sizes. Uploading at exactly 1080px wide gives its compressor the least excuse to mangle your photo.
